Article: Think like a cyclist

A large part of komoot’s audience felt like they lacked the confidence to cycle in urban areas, which stopped them from getting out as much as they wanted to. To combat this, we ran a series of Adventure Hub articles that helped readers learn how to use komoot to make routes that suited their needs.

Coming from a cycling background, I’m very used to helping friends find bike-friendly routes across their towns and cities, to free them from the dreaded car commute. I love doing this, because it just takes a few tips to completely transform someone’s experience of urban cycling.

The Adventure Hub primarily existed from search traffic but we also linked to this article from a cycling-related, targeted newsletter. The outbound links on the newsletter were to the route planner as well as this piece, and we saw a significant rise in traffic to this article and the wider Adventure Hub as a result.

I wrote this article alongside my regular copywriting at komoot to share the knowledge.
